I was the sole senior product designer and, with no PM, the product lead in practice, working with two engineers across versions 3 through 5. The hard part was serving two opposite users at once: non-technical writers who needed spatial clarity and low cognitive load, and technical QA and engineering who needed to validate branching logic and trust the data.
