Vision of a Dystopian Future... with Portals

Your life can be simpler and more fun with the new Portal Junior, a miniature version of the amazing "handheld portal device" developed by Aperture Science. Portal Junior© can create inter-spatial portals between two flat planes, allowing you to instantly and conveniently transport small objects between two places.

My responsibilities:
Video and audio editor, storyboarding, primary videographer, writer.

Objective: With this project we wanted re-imagine the dystopian future portrayed in the videogame Portal, a cold and sterile world of test chambers in which no other humans exist. We took the technology of the famous portal gun depicted in the game and applied it to a living world where people do exist. We thought it would be interesting to explore how this technology would be used as a consumer product, and how it might be marketed and integrated in everyday life.

Portal is a 2007 single-player first-person puzzle-platform video game developed by Valve Corporation. Portal was acclaimed as one of the most original games of 2007. The game received praise for its unique gameplay and darkly humorous story.
